Sweet Iron
All our bits are made from blue sweet iron, because it:
- oxidises easily
- encourages salivation
- helps bit acceptance
- is warm and sweet
Please note the blue will fade with use.
Lock Up Mouthpiece
The Lock Up snaffle removes the nut cracker action of the conventional snaffle, meaning it will bear less pressure on each side of the horses jaw called the bars.
2.5 Ring Cheek / Universal Cheek
A Ring cheek piece introduces poll pressure as well creating leverage on the mouthpiece, the 2.5 ring version is the softest version of ring bit as the half ring softens the leverage on the mouthpiece and poll.
